The easiest Bruschetta you’ll ever make!

Bruschetta is a traditional Italian dish which is simple while being fresh and tasty. It’s the perfect Sunday lunch, BBQ side dish or actually anytime snack…

There are many recipes for this dish in varying degrees of complexity and fanciness. They’re all delicious!  But, in keeping it real we thought you might like to have a go at one of the easiest and tasty Bruschetta recipes we’ve found. We love it and hope you do too!

Simple and Delicious Bruschetta…

  • rustic bread loaf, hand sliced into 8 slices (we recommend a sourdough cob, but a french stick works well too!)
  • 5 vine-ripened Roma tomatoes – deseed these and chop finely
  • Fresh basil leaves – 1/4 cup, roughly torn
  • Red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar – 2 teaspoons
  • Caster sugar – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil – 1/4 cup
  • Garlic – 2 cloves, halved

  • In a bowl, combine chopped tomatoes, basil, vinegar, sugar and 1 tablespoon oil. Feel free to season with some salt and pepper!
  • Place bread on a baking tray and grill each side for a minute or two until golden. While it’s still warm, rub a cut clove of garlic over 1 side. Drizzle that side of each piece of toast with the remaining oil. Top with the tomato mixture. Serve and enjoy!!!

Well, that is quite simple really!
